Message Notification – analogue phones (pling)

Message notification on an analogue handset is sent by what we call a “pling” which is a short single burst of ring every 30 minutes to advise that there are messages.  Alternatively, certain analogue handsets have a message wait lamp that flashes to indicate a message waiting.  Call the Voicemail system on extension 7700 to receive your messages.

Message Notification – digital phones (flashing light)

On a digital handset we program a key on your phone to act as a message wait lamp (usually the one on the right hand bottom side above the transfer key on your phone) which will flash for waiting messages.  To retrieve your messages press the message wait lamp key and it will automatically dial into the Voicemail System for you and relay your messages
