Communications Services: Hours of Support
Standard out of hours of on-call support:
- Monday to Friday 0700-2200 hours

Saturday to Sunday 0900-2000 hours
Public Holiday on-call support:
Support is as per standard out of hours support except for the following dates (when there is no coverage):
- Christmas Day
- New Years' Day
Support Details:
Voice and data systems are monitored for critical faults through automated monitoring systems which alert the duty officer.
In the event that critical faults are not sensed by the automated monitoring:
- A message for Data Services duty officer can be lodged by dialling the answering service on 9324 4390, the answering service will then advise the Duty Officer.
- A message for the Voice services Duty Officer for Voice Services can be lodged by dialling Murdoch Security on 9360 6262, Murdoch Security will then advise the Duty Officer.
Critical faults:
Data network:
- Loss of data communications:
- to AARNet
- Between campuses
- Between any building on a campus.
Voice Network:
- Loss of voice services:
- In or out of campus
- Between campuses
- Any critical voice service related to emergency services, or campus security.
The rostered Duty Officer will attend to any critical fault within 4 hours.
